Hearing about an at-home laser hair removal laser for the first time could sound too good to be true. With so many beauty devices claiming to do everything from plumping your lips to reducing cellulite, it’s hard to decide where to direct your attention! If you’re in the market for a laser hair removal device at the fraction of the cost at a clinic, then you’ve come to the right place. Tria has done extensive clinical research on their hair removal laser devices like the 4X and Precision lasers, and they are all FDA-cleared.

Keep it clean
The laser window of your Tria laser needs to be cleaned before every use with an alcohol wipe or alcohol on a cotton round. Oils from the body or residue from our Phytograph Soothing Gel can block the laser light from penetrating through the glass if the window is dirty.
Juice the battery
There is an internal lithium battery housed inside of both the Precision and 4X hair removal lasers. This means there are no cords plugged into the wall while you are using the device, but you will need to charge it up when the battery gets low. Make sure you fully charge your Tria laser before using it to make sure you have enough power to get through your session. Also, it is very important that you do not store your Tria laser away in the closet for a few years. The battery will drain, and you might not be able to turn it on again! Make sure you charge your devices at least once every three months to keep that battery active!
A useful tip when using your device is to make sure you get EVERY hair follicle. An easy way to do that is to overlap your treatment pattern. As you lift your device to move onto the next treatment area, don’t jump far ahead. Move it very slightly into the next direction, overlapping the section you just treated. This will ensure you don’t miss any spots!
If you feel that your treatments are a little too “zappy”, you can use the Phytograph Soothing Gel to help soothe the treatment areas beforehand. You will have to purchase this gel at the same time that you buy your laser, so keep that in mind!
Don’t miss a treatment
Consistency is key when using your hair removal laser. Tria recommends using the laser once every two weeks until the hair has stopped growing. Some customers have reported hair loss after three treatments, some take twelve. Don’t waste your time doing treatments more frequently than every two weeks; your hair growth cycle will affect each hair on your body, and every hair is in a different phase! You’ll notice that there are hairs that will not grow back, but others will still persist after treatments. Those growing hairs will eventually cease to grow back, but they possibly will keep popping up until they are treated during a certain growth phase. Set a calendar reminder so that you won’t miss a treatment!
