Tria Sleeping Mask Anti-Aging

The perfect night skincare routine for younger-looking skin

A good night’s rest is crucial for waking up to beautiful and regenerated skin. Your nighttime skincare routine is also an essential part of your skin’s well-being. Do you think that not removing your makeup and sleeping four hours is going to result in a lovely morning face in the mirror? I’ll explain why your night skincare routine is the most important part of your skin’s day, and what you can do to get started on a path to gloriously beautiful skin!

Beauty sleep is real

I can’t stress enough that your skincare routine does not end after you take your makeup off at night. Sure, it sounds convenient to rinse and roll into bed, but that is probably not going to be enough if you want to work toward glowing and youthful skin. Your skin deserves your time and effort, and the night time is the best time to relax and enjoy some TLC with your face. Lucky for us, Tria Beauty has everything you need for a complete night routine, which includes the SmoothBeauty Anti-Aging Laser for reversing signs of sun damage, fine lines, and wrinkles.

Research shows that beauty sleep is a real thing–just think about the last time you slept less than seven hours. How did your face look when you woke up?  After a long day of working the daily grind, commuting, and helping the kids with their homework, your body (and face) needs a good rest to regenerate, and that means getting at least seven hours of sleep per night. Your cells are working overtime during these hours to renew, and you need to supply your skin with the proper nutrients as this process happens.

Proper cleansingTria Priming Cleanser

I always start off removing my eye and brow makeup first. Getting that out of the way ensures that I won’t get any mascara or eye makeup into my eyes as I am cleansing. I prefer micellar water, like this one for all skin types from French brand Caudalie.  I saturate a cotton round with the micellar water and press it to one eye at a time to let it absorb for a moment. Then I use a gentle downward motion to remove the makeup completely. For any residue, I use a cotton swab dipped in the micellar water to remove anything stuck between my lashes.

Next, I use the Tria Priming Cleanser to clean away my foundation, concealer, powder, and whatever else is lingering on my face at the end of the day. Since we will discuss incorporating the SmoothBeauty Age-Defying Laser in this routine, all of your makeup must be completely removed so there is nothing blocking the laser from penetrating. The Willow Bark Extract in the cleanser gently exfoliates while the moisturizing complex helps your skin retain your skin’s natural oils.

It’s all about the laser

This laser is going to change everything. In the beginning, you might notice a bit of dry skin or flakiness, so you want to make sure if you are using any type of prescribed Retin-A or tretinoin that you refrain from using it on the areas you are treating with the laser. Over-the-counter retinol is weaker and should be okay to use in conjunction with your laser treatments.

The SmoothBeauty Age-Defying laser sends beams of light deep beneath the skin’s surface where collagen and elastin form, accelerating skin’s natural rejuvenation process. In a clinical study, 89% of users report that the SmoothBeauty Laser leaves their skin looking better than any other product. When the laser causes the skin’s natural healing response to spring into action, new collagen will form, and the skin will naturally exfoliate.

In my personal experience, I saw a big difference in the texture and tone of my skin in four weeks when I used the laser five days per week. After twelve weeks, you can give the laser a break for four weeks, then return to your regular twelve-week regimen.

Topical vitamins

Tria Super C Brightening Moisturizer
Vitamin C is your key ingredient to anti-aging at night! Tria’s Super C Brightening Moisturizer is formulated with an oil-based form of Vitamin C that is absorbed into the skin. This powerful antioxidant moisturizer works to protect skin against free radical damage without irritation. In a study, it was found that Vitamin C decreased photoaging, better known as sun damage, increased collagen, and also improved hydration. With the addition of hyaluronic acid, your skin will attract moisture, keeping your face hydrated during sleep. Just apply the moisturizer to your face, neck, and chest.

What about the eyes?

SmoothBeauty Eye Wrinkle Laser Regimen Kit

There is only so much that an eye cream can do. The customers who have tried the SmoothBeauty Eye Wrinkle Laser say that when combined with a good eye cream you will see crow’s feet and lines diminish within two to eight weeks and beyond. The laser will need to be used every single day as part of your beauty ritual. You will love the benefits!

After your eye laser treatment, you will want to cool it down and moisturize. The Tria Nourishing Eye Renewal Cream is expertly formulated with Hyaluronic Acid and Ginger Extract to soothe and hydrate laser-treated skin, and age targeting boosters to help smooth the eye area. This is a must-have eye cream if you are using the laser! The metal tip adds an extra coolness that feels very calming.

Nite niteTria Sleep Mask

Of course, the next course of action is to hit the hay. I recommend that in order to get a good night’s sleep, to wear a sleep mask to keep the light out (or husbands that check email in the middle of the night on their bright cell phones). The copper-infused Beauty Boosting Eye Mask is going to do a couple of things for you while you sleep: keep out the light, and reduce lines with copper. Copper is an essential mineral known to enhance skin appearance for a healthy, youthful glow. The mask has a thick layer of padding and feels very luxurious!

This nighttime routine may sound like a lot for some people who are not used to spending time in front of the mirror. If you are serious about anti-aging and keeping your skin glowing, then you need to trust the process. The total time for using the lasers is about ten minutes when used on the highest setting, so we’re really not taking more than fifteen minutes for the entire process. The more you invest in your skincare time, the better results you will see.

Best legs of your life

How to get the smoothest legs of your life

With summer on the horizon, we’re sure you’ve thought about how you will be shifting your seasonal wardrobe to accommodate for warmer weather. Of course, this means showing more skin! Showing more skin also means, for some of us, shaving daily–and that can be quite tedious especially if you are on vacation. What if you didn’t have to worry about touching another razor again? Wouldn’t that be liberating? Having the freedom to bare our legs without the worry of razor burn or ingrown hairs sounds like paradise! We’re going to show you a couple of products that will make this summer’s legs the best of your life!

EXFOLIATE YOUR LEGS

Cactus Brush from The Body Shop
We wish we would have learned of this product earlier! The Body Shop’s Cactus Long Handle Body Brush ($15) can be used to dry brush the body or use wet with your favorite shower gel. Using this brush is invigorating and exfoliating, and it also unclogs pores! If the brush seems too harsh, The Body Shop also offers many other exfoliating options: The Body Polisher nylon towel ($5) and the 100% Hemp Body Mitt ($10) is just a few more options.

If you are not into exfoliating accessories, or you have sensitive skin, you might love a fruit enzyme peel. The Bliss Jelly Glow Peel ($12) is a non-abrasive exfoliator that uses plant-based fibers to roll off dead skin. You can see the unwanted skin gently roll off your legs–without scrubbing or using any force. It’s perfect on the face, too!

PERMANENT HAIR REMOVAL

Tria 4X Hair Removal Laser
Next, let’s worry about getting rid of your cactus legs–for good! Laser hair removal can cost several thousands of dollars if you opt to have it done at a laser clinic. If you’re a celebrity, disposable income might not be an issue for you, but if you are like the rest of us, we yearn for some affordable options. Thankfully, Tria Beauty’s Hair Removal Laser 4X ($449) is just the thing to evict those unwanted hairs from the legs and body. At a fraction of the cost that a clinic charges for hair removal, the 4X is the first and only FDA-approved device for use at home, and is backed by a 60-day money back guarantee.

In a recent article from Marie Claire, Rachel Nazarian, M.D., a dermatologist at the Schweiger Dermatology Group, gives us a valuable preparation tip before using the Tria 4X: “As with all laser hair removal devices, I recommend working with clean, freshly shaven skin. Make sure that you aren’t able to see hair above skin level,” Dr. Nazarian says. Yes! It is completely important to start off will clean, freshly shaven legs before performing your laser treatments. Also, make sure the treatment window is free of any debris that would block the laser light. You can clean the window with an alcohol-based wipe to ensure it’s ready for use.

BEST SELF TANNERS FOR THE LEGS

Best Self Tanners of 2019
Showing off your legs like the beach babe that you are is beautiful–but some of us need a little assistance with our summer glow. A self-tanner can give the legs a nice bronze slimming effect without harmful UV rays and sun damage. You do need to try a spot test to make sure that the color you choose is right for your skin tone, and that you don’t end up an unsightly shade of orange.

The St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Mousse ($42 for 8 oz.) paired with an applicator mitt is your best bet for a long-lasting tan that doesn’t have that weird self-tanner smell. The tinted mousse is definitely not streaky, so you can confidently apply a few moments before heading out.

For tanning on-the-go, Dr. Dennis Gross delivers self-tanning power to the palm of your hand with the Alpha Beta Glow Peel Self-Tanner for the Body ($45). This tan towel firms and exfoliates the skin as you wear it–a total added bonus to the amazing tan you will get!

If you don’t want to go the gradual self-tanner route, there are several “one night only” spray-on bronzers that will give your legs a moment to glow. To give some instant glam to your gams, the HAMPTON SUN Airbrush Bronzing Mist ($42) is a fine mist spray that you wash easily wash off with soap and water.

MOISTURIZER YOUR LEGS WILL LOVE

Bronzed Legs
It’s important to keep your skin and legs hydrated, especially if you want them looking and feeling their best. Applying these lotions to your legs will not only keep your self-tanner going strong, but will combat dry and flaky skin as well. A great overall body lotion is Hempz Original Herbal Body Moisturizer ($11 for 17 oz.) with a delicious banana scent to boot! It nourishes dry, scaly legs with shea butter and ginseng, along with crucial antioxidants vitamins A, C, and E.

To benefit from wonderful ingredients like Cupuaçu Butter, Açaí Oil and anti-aging Coconut Oil, and a bit of shimmer, you need the Sol De Janeiro Glowmotions ($35) illuminating skin oil. The shimmer oil will give your legs a slimming effect if concentrated on the middle bone area with an added bonus of luxurious moisture.

To moisturize without a slick feeling on your body, the Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer ($7) is an awesome drugstore find that is formulated for use right after you step out of the shower. This product ranks high on Amazon.com and has received multiple Allure Best of Beauty Awards. There are five different formulas to choose from, depending on what type of skin issue you need to address.

Hopefully, you’ve learned a lot from this guide all about beautifying your legs for the summer! Stay tuned this season for more summer beauty tips!

Updating Your Skincare for Fall

One thing that drives us crazy about skincare is that it’s always focusing on “what’s your skin type?” To which you respond: Oily, A Little Oily (but, just in the T-Zone!), Combination (Whatever that means? Normal?), Dry, Extra Dry. But that’s not the only thing that should play a role in your skincare purchases. You need to take into account your climate, the weather, and most importantly the changing of seasons

Think about it.

Everyone rotates their clothing with the changing of seasons. Think of your medicine cabinet as your closet – and every closet needs a season “refresh”! Even the slights adjustments to your skincare routines will make a difference in how your skin looks and feels.

With Autumn fast approaching (hello, PSL!), dry, cooler air is just around the corner. This, in addition to the drop in humidity levels, causes skin to lose moisture, resulting in skin irritation, chapped lips, and dry, flaky skin.

So what do we do?

Change up your Moisturizer.

Moisturize, moisturize, MOISTURIZE. Moisturizing is not only important during any season, it’s that much more important during Autumn. During the Summer months, we, of course, recommend a lightweight, oil-free moisturizer. Unfortunately that’s just not going to cut it in the Fall. Slather on (face AND neck) a heavier, thicker moisturizing cream. Better yet, choose one with ceramides that form a protective layer that plumps the skin and retains moisture.

Apply Sunscreen.

Just because you can’t FEEL the heat from the sun doesn’t negate the fact that the sun is still shining. If you live in a colder climate where you see snow, the sun is even harsher, reflecting off the snow. Dermatologists recommend wearing a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30, blocking 97% of the sun’s harmful UVB rays.

Lay off the Exfoliation.

But not entirely. Gently exfoliating once a week during the colder months helps remove any dry, flaky skin. Over exfoliating can often result in stripping the skin of any moisture and essential oils, leading to breakouts in the dry, colder months. So again, opt for something on the gentler side. And hey, don’t forget to exfoliate those lips too!

Use a Hydrating Serum.

That is, if you don’t already! Apply a Hydrating Serum every night as a part of your nightly routine. Select a hydrating serum that lists Hyaluronic Acid as one of it’s main ingredients. In fact, our Deep Hydrating & Brightening Serum is packed with nourishing Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, and Aloe Vera to soothe and enhance your skin’s moisture balance. It’s as if it was made for the colder months. 😉 Our Deep Hydrating & Brightening Serum is also available in mask-form to deliver 1 full ounce of serum into the skin within 30 minutes(!). One question we often get asked is when to apply serum in your skincare product line-up. We recommend applying serum after cleansing your skin and before layering on your moisturizer. We even recommend going to bed feeling a little “greasy” and “over-hydrated” as your skin loses moisture FAST while you sleep.

Most importantly, pay extra attention to how your skin reacts to the change in weather and adjust your skin care routine to what YOUR skin NEEDS. Your skin is just as unique as YOU are.

Don’t forget, our Up to 25% Off Summer Sale Event is live through 8/28 11:59pm PST!
