The TRIA Skin Clarifying System, a 3-step system clinically proven to clear acne breakouts faster than any other leading acne treatment and featuring professional-strength blue light therapy, is launched in the U.S.

The TRIA Clarifying Blue Light, part of the upcoming TRIA Skin Clarifying System, is cleared by the FDA.

The FDA clears the TRIA Laser Hair Removal System for a permanent claim, making it the first and only at-home hair removal device clinically proven to deliver permanent results.

2009
An even newer generation of the TRIA Laser Hair Removal System is introduced, and costs just $595 – a $400 savings, compared to the original. The updated TRIA Laser features 2 added comfort settings, making it even easier to customize treatments.

The original TRIA Laser Hair Removal System gets an update. The newer generation costs just $795 – a $200 savings, compared to the original – and delivers the same results in half the treatment time.

2008
Upon receiving FDA-clearance, the TRIA Laser Hair Removal System is offered for the first time in the US.

2007
TRIA Beauty expands distribution to Europe by offering the TRIA Laser Hair Removal System in both Spain and the United Kingdom.

2005–2006
Clinical trials and rigorous safety and efficacy testing are performed on the device in the United States.

2004–2005
After years of research and numerous prototypes, the first TRIA Laser Hair Removal System is sold in Japan.

2003
TRIA Beauty, Inc. (formerly SpectraGenics, Inc.) is born.

With the formation of TRIA Beauty, Bob, Mark, and Toby immediately turn their attention to their first challenge: How to deliver the same results as the professional LightSheer diode laser, while making it gentle and safe enough for at-home use.

1993
TRIA Beauty’s future co-founders, Bob, Mark, and Toby, lead an elite panel of pioneering scientists, cutting-edge engineers, and top dermatologists to develop the first laser hair removal system designed for use by physicians.
